This comprehensive continuing education course is designed to equip dental professionals with a foundational and practical understanding of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) and its application in modern clinical practice. Participants will explore the principles of 3D imaging, the benefits and limitations of CBCT technology, and the functionality of various CBCT software platforms.

The course will cover critical topics such as proper Field of View (FOV) selection to ensure patient safety and radiation dose optimization, as well as best practices for patient positioning and scanning to enhance image quality. Attendees will also gain familiarity with CBCT anatomy across all three imaging planes and learn how to utilize datasets effectively for accurate treatment planning and surgical guide development.

Additionally, participants will receive guidance on managing large CBCT datasets within their practice workflow, including coordination with front office operations.
